Hundreds turned out to see if wrestling champion Sir Thomas Chamberlain could keep hold of his title last week.

As these pictures taken by fans show, the spectacular event saw high flyers Will Ospreay and Paul Robinson enter the ring with Joel Masters, Earl Jonathan Windsor and The Earl of Excellence.

Matt Burden, co-founder of Future Pro Wrestling was part of the team that performed at the St Helier Festival on Saturday (June 8).

He said: "It was a great afternoon indeed. By all accounts we stole the show and around 500 people went away happy after a dazzling display in the sunshine from our guys.

It was a big deal for us to perform at the festival as myself and my two co-founders met at Garth High School, just down the road from the festival, so to come back to the area some twenty years later and do what we did was a joy."

Fans of the group voted it UK Wrestling Promotion of the year out of 50 other promotions nationwide earlier this year.

Wrestling addicts can get tickets for the next July 7th show at Wallington Public Hall, the Summertime Brawl III, at www.futureprowrestling.com.
