A stuntman jumped off a tower in flames, cooks competed in a bake off, bands played and thousands enjoyed fairground rides and village stalls at the 30th Ashtead Village Day on Saturday.
Soprano Natalie Coyle, who is on tour with Brit Award-winning vocal group Blake, opened the day by singing Happy Birthday.
Singing duo Meat Diva, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, were a last-minute booking for the day alongside the Mole Valley Silver Band, Atlantis and Junction 9.

Keen cooks also tried their best to impress the judges of the first ever Great Ashtead Bake Off and the Stannage International Stunt Team survived death-defying speed jumps and near-miss crashes.
Organiser Len Wood, of Ashtead Rotary Club, said clubs, societies and organisations ran 132 stalls and around 10,000 people came along to enjoy the event in the sunshine.

Mr Wood said: "People come to enjoy themselves and that’s exactly what they did. Everybody came.
"People who were leaving wound down their car windows saying ‘Marvellous, can we come we come again next year?’"
