Neighbours will be dancing in the streets tomorrow as part of a nationwide celebration.

All over the borough people will be holding Big Lunches and joining their neighbours for street parties.

In some cases, whole roads will be closed and the bunting will be out as friends and families relive last year's jubilee celebrations.

People living in the Benhill Estate will be able to enjoy a bouncy castle, Zumba and international food - in keeping with the party's theme of international flags. The event will take place on the grass at the rear of Stancliffe and Clevedon Houses.

The Denmark Gardens Residents' Association wants neighbours to bring their own picnics to the green to celebrate the Big Lunch. Other roads which are having parties include Birchwood Avenue in Wallington, which will be closed from midday to 9pm, Byron Avenue in East Sutton, which will be closed from 10am to 8pm and Winchcombe Road in Carshalton which will be closed from 9am to 9pm.

The Big Lunch is a Lottery-funded national campaign to bring neighbours together.
