Young dancers from Wimbledon have the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for roles in a new production of the Nutcracker.
The award-winning English Youth Ballet want 100 dancers, aged eight to 18, to perform the corps de ballet and soloist role in their product which will hit New Wimbledon Theatre this November.
English Youth Ballet Director Janet Lewis said: "We are looking for boys and girls who love to dance and who can demonstrate that at the audition.
"Auditioning for EYB is an experience in itself as we encourage the dancers to really work on their style and presentation.
"The audition will feel like a performance as it is taking place on the stage at the theatre and parents are invited to watch."
She added the dancers who are accepted will rehearse as professionals for 10 days then perform with the principal dancers.
For more information and to register for the audition, contact Janet Lewis on 01689 856747 or email misslewis@englishyouthballet.co.uk. New Wimbledon Theatre, The Broadway, Wimbledon; June 24; 4.30pm (dancers aged eight to 11) 6.45pm (dancers aged 12-18).
