A car was set alight inside woodland in New Addington last night.
The green watch from New Addington fire station, were called to Featherbed Lane at 11pm, after being called to the scene by a group of brownies camping nearby.
The car was destroyed in the fire and police were called to the scene.
Crew Manager Steve Mewett said: "The car was about 15m in to the woods and was so badly damaged we didn't know what make or model it was.
"We don't know if it was stolen and put there, but we put the fire out and left the scene with police.
"There were some brownies camping nearby who alerted us to the fire, luckily no-one was hurt."
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
