The Government have announced the approval of 102 free school applications.

Ninety per cent of the new free schools are either in areas of deprivation or in areas with a shortage of school places such as Croydon.

Steve Reed, MP for Croydon North, is against free schools as is his boss Ed Milliband, who remarked "free schools are the opposite of the thing we need".

Labour's Shadow Education Secretary, Stephen Twigg, also says "Labour oppose free schools".

Free schools are extremely popular with parents and are delivering strong discipline and high standards, which is what parents want.

This is what Steve Reed should be campaigning for as MP for Croydon North, otherwise he will be letting down the future generation of Croydon!

Gavin Barwell, MP for Croydon Central however, goes on record as being very much in favour of free schools and has welcomed the news that three new schools have been approved for Croydon.

The Harris Invictus Free School, Paxton Academy Sports and Science and the Advance School, Norbury.

Gavin Barwell is so right on this subject.

I am a constituent of Mr Reed and I ask of him, what is your problem?

Audrey Terrey, Thornton Heath, and former Conservative party candidate for Croydon Council
