Andre Moritz could be on his way out of Crystal Palace despite completing a dream season by lifting the play-off trophy at Wembley.

The 26-year-old midfielder came off the bench to play the whole of extra time in Monday's 1-0 triumph over Watford and gain promotion in his first season in England.

But he is out of contract this summer and, with discussions yet to start with Palace over a new deal, has been contacted by other Premier League clubs interested in his services.

"I would like to stay, of course, but if I am open with you I have been contacted by loads of clubs already," he said.

"They made their moves before this season was finished. Some are from the Premier League and some from the Championship.

"I haven’t spoken with Palace yet but out of respect I think I need to speak with Palace before everybody else.

"I feel comfortable here. I love my team-mates and it’s just a great atmosphere all the time.

"I am really happy here and I think we can manage a deal to stay here.

"I think we have a good relationship, me and Palace and I’m happy here. The fans like me so I think we can manage something to stay."

Moritz joined the Eagles on a free transfer last summer having been on trial at Scottish club Rangers and he revealed it has been a dream first season in England.

"When I first came here, my agent was talking about Wembley and he said,

‘I hope you get promoted but through Wembley’," he added.

"I didn’t realise what Wembley was until we got there and saw the stadium totally full.

"What a feeling, what a season. First season here in England, getting promoted with Palace, I’m really happy.

"We did our best and we said before the game that if we did our best we knew we could beat them and that’s what happened."

When Wilfried Zaha was felled in the box in extra time to give Palace their winning penalty, Moritz was keen to take the spot kick before yielding to veteran Kevin Phillips.

"I tried to take the penalty," he said.

"Kev straight away said he’ll take it, so I came to him and I said ‘if you don’t feel good to take the penalty I can take it'.

"But what can I say, the guy is 39 years old and really experienced. He’s an example at 39 still scoring goals and being a champion.

"He’s fit, he’s even fitter than some of the lads who are 20."
