A charity who hold the record for the world's highest concert are to kick-off this year's Hueyfest in Battersea Park.

Music4Children, which helps children around the world through music, led by London-based musician Oz Balydon, are to hold their ninth free music festival, at the park's La Gondola cafe, as part of the Battersea Park Festival.

The festival will offer a wide variety of music, workshops and performances for the whole family.

The event will be raising money that will be shared between Music4Children and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

It will also be fulfilling the dream of an 18-year-old girl from Australia who wished to be involved in a music festival in London and see the sights of the city, after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Among the expected guests will be Australian supermodel Elle McPherson and Noisettes singer Shingai Shoniwa.

Elle says: "My family love coming to the Music4Children festivals in Battersea Park."

While Shingai lavished praise on the event, she says: "The most original festival I have ever been to, no act is the same and you never know what's coming next."

Last year Music4Children reached 6,654m in the Himalayas and performed a 40-minute gig in the freezing temperatures setting the new world record for the highest gig, raising £35,000 for a Nepalese orphanage.

Music4Children will be organizing a similar event, Nevestival, at the same place on Sunday, June 23.

Hueyfest; Sunday, June 2; 12pm till 6pm, La Gondola cafe, Battersea Park, SW11, entrance is free.
