A grandmother who survived a bomb attack on a hotel she was evacuated to during the Blitz, has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Celia Basilisco was born in Gibraltar on May 16, 1913, and was the youngest of five children.
The mum-of-six, who lives in Freeman Court, Norbury, was evacuated to the UK, during World War II and subsequently to Ballymena in Northern Ireland, before she returned to Gibraltar after the war.
The great-grandmother briefly lived in London between 1957 and 1963, before returning for good in 1965.
Family and friends enjoyed a party in celebration of the milestone on May 19.
