A man suffered head injuries and a policeman was hurt when a police car collided with a car while chasing suspected burglars this morning.
Police were responding to a suspected burglary an address in Castle Avenue, Ewell, in the early hours.
A spokesman said their vehicle crashed into the car, thought to be involved in the burglary, during a chase on the adjoining Ewell By-Pass at 2.30am.
A police constable, from the roads policing unit, suffered back pain and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A man in the other car was taken to hospital with head injuries and remains in a stable condition.
Three men were arrested and remain in police custody.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour in Ewell or saw the collision should call police on 101, quoting reference P13155851.
