New IT system to save the taxpayer millions say councils
A new computer system could save the council millions of pounds.
Sutton Council has teamed up with Kingston Council for a shared information and communications technology (ICT) service.
The scheme launched this month and is the first of its kind in London.
The council claims that between 2013/14 and 2016/17 about £4million will be saved by the two authorities.
