Police have issued two images of a man they wish to speak with following the murder of a man at a bookmakers' shop in Morden.

A betting shop employee was pronounced dead by paramedics after being found at the Ladbrokes betting shop in Aberconway Road at 10.30am yesterday (Saturday, May 25).

Several sources reported the man had been stabbed but this has not been officially confirmed.

A murder investigation was launched and a post-mortem examination will be held at noon today at St George's Hospital mortuary in Tooting.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said it appears the deceased was attacked in the shop by a lone male suspect. It is not known at this time whether any money was taken.

It is understood the 55-year-old victim, a Ladbrokes employee of several years, was a father-of-two with a disabled wife.

Members of the public should not approach the man in the photographs and are advised to contact police immediately.

Anyone with information that may assist the police investigation should call the incident room at Sutton on 020 8721 4054. To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
