His latest book Carnivoboarous took inspiration from his recent stay in India where he spent 16 months to spend time with his wife who is a teacher there.

From the moment Bennett gets the idea for a book to its completion takes him about two to three months.

He says: "I love writing about horror. When I was a kid I used to love watching all the old horror films.

"It is about a giant pig called Carnivoboarous and set on a river in a small town called Latur in India.

"A paper mill has been letting toxic waste into the river so it gives birth to this mutant boar which grows huge - to the size of a large cow.

"Basically there are two men trying to track it down. I would definitely recommend it for adults because some parts are quite gory.

"In Latur there’s not much there - there’s lots of waste on the floor and you see lots of wild pigs.

"It just entered my head - what if one of these pigs grew large? They can be dangerous if they have piglets. They have got four huge tusks."

He has also written a book about being a supporting actor in British films including Cockneys vs Zombies and The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan.
