A woman needed hospital treatment after fire broke out in her flat.
Two fire engines were called to the blaze in Rosethorn Close, Balham, just before 8.30pm last night.
The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
She was alerted to the fire by a smoke alarm and was able to leave the building before firefighters arrived.
It is believed the fire began in the kitchen of the ground floor flat.
A fire investigation team is determining what caused it.
