Residents are being urged to book their places and avoid disappointment for next week's Question Time event as tickets are getting snapped up thick and fast.

The session - similar to the popular TV show - will see Sutton Council Leader, Coun Ruth Dombey and Deputy Leader, Coun Colin Hall answering the borough's questions alongside Sutton Youth MP, Johnoi Joseph, and Chief Executive of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, Matthew Hopkins.

Councillor Ruth Dombey, Leader of Sutton Council, said: "This is a chance for local people to ask their questions to us and find out what we are doing to address matters close to their hearts.

So far we've had a great response from local people and tickets are proving extremely popular. What I'd hate to see is people waiting too long to book their place and ending up being disappointed. I'd urge people to book their spot as soon as possible."

The evening will take place at Greenshaw School on Wednesday May 22, 2013, between 7pm and 9pm and be hosted by the headteacher, Will Smith.

It is the second public Question Time to take place in the borough with the previous session being well attended. The live audience pose questions directly to the panel who then discuss their answers with guests.

Residents who are not able to attend Sutton Question Time but would still like to take part, can do so on Twitter.

Sutton Question Time will be live tweeted throughout, with the opportunity for the panel to hear some of the points raised using #suttonqt.

To claim a space, email questiontime@sutton.gov.uk and a ticket will be issued, or call Simon Bishop on 020 8770 4394 for more information.
