The travellers' caravans in Beddington Park
Travellers who have occupied part of a popular park have been ordered to leave by the end of today.
A group of travellers set up caravans on an area of Beddington Park off Croydon Road last week.
Yesterday, Sutton Council, backed up by police officers, served notice on the travellers telling them they have to leave the site today.
Neighbours have criticised the group for making a mess in the area and creating piles of rubbish. Other people have complained they did not feel safe to use the area while the group was there.
