Students at the University of the Creative Arts will have no excuse for being late for lectures after the launch of a new feature-packed smartphone app.
Taking just under a year to design, the free app offers quick access to information such as timetables, coursework marks, campus maps and a friend locator function.
It was developed with help from students and university departments and is designed to work on Apple, Andriod and Blackberry devices.
UCA’s vice-chancellor Dr Simon Ofield-Kerr said: "It is a great innovation and I am pleased students were involved in its conception and will play an important part in its ongoing development.
"I am sure the App will soon become invaluable and I am looking forward to seeing what more it can do to make things better for both students and staff."
The app has received rave reviews to date and currently has a five-star rating on both the App Store and Google Play.
And although other universites have apps of their own, UCA is the first to have included such a wide range of different features.
Project manager Glen Moussali, said: "The app has been really well received by students and their comments have been very positive."
