A Kingston Grammar School hockey team have been crowned national champions.
The under 14 boys team beat Croydon based Whitgift School in the final last month.
Victory came as sweet revenge after the same group had lost the under 13s final in a penalty shoot out against Queen’s College, in Taunton the year before.
Headteacher Sarah Fletcher said: "It was wonderful to see the boys crowned national champions, especially after coming so tantalisingly close last year.
"We are all very proud of what they have achieved.
"We have a long tradition of success in hockey at Kingston Grammar School and I am delighted to see the younger players showing so much promise.
"I am sure they will go from strength to strength."
