Racegoers at Sandown Park can enjoy a summer’s evening swinging back to 1960s America with a live theatrical performance by a rat pack tribute band.

Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular will be performing some of the most well known American classics such as Under My Skin, Mr Bojangles, That’s Amore, Come Fly With Me, Sway, Mack the Knife and many more favourites later this month.

Fond memories of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr are brought to life in a live show that continues to be successful throughout the world with a theatrical mix of singing, dancing and music.

Wayne Kennedy, who plays Dean Martin in the show, says: “It will be a totally live performance with music and vocals, great entertainment.

“The audience can expect a spectacular show, a wonderful performance.”

This will be their first time at Sandown and they are looking forward to an enjoyable night performing all of the American classics.

Kennedy, who is also a keen equestrian, having competed at show jumping, says: “We performed at Epsom last year in front of 5,000 people and had so much fun; we hope it will be the same Sandown.”

Double bass player Tom Buntino won a fortune at Epsom last year and will be placing some of his winnings on this year’s races, says Kennedy.
