Tradesmen swapped their tools for nail files, slices of cucumber and face creams when they found out what women want as part of a new initiative.
The Umbrella Group, a team of Sutton-based tradesmen including a builder, a roofer and an electrician, has joined forces with a Surrey country club to give away free spa days to women who take on large projects from its members.
Members of the group, which was set up to keep trade local through members referring business to each other, took a trip to the Foxhills Health Spa and Country Club near Chertsey to find out what their customers will be experiencing.
Martyn Fowler, Umbrella Group member, said: "During my 23 years of experience I have noticed that women are more likely to manage a project and make major decisions.
"The Umbrella Group ensures our customers that they can feel comfortable and relaxed while we work our magic."
Any customer who employs the services of The Umbrella Group for projects worth £10,000 or more will be entitled to a free day at the countryside retreat.
