Pedal-power fuelled environmental awarenness as a primary school turned green for the day.
Pupils at Rockmount Primary School in Chevening Road, Upper Norwood climbed into the saddle of a cycle cinema and enjoyed fresh, fruity drinks made with a smoothie bike last week.
Children also designed and made sun huts which used solar cells to power a coolling propellor and used sewing machines to turn shopping bags into t-shirts.
The pupils watched a film made by Eco Councillors as they learned about green issues on Wednesday.
Rockmount is one of only three schools in Croydon to have Green Flag status - awarded to those with environment and sustainability on the curriculum.
