A man has been taken to hospital after his scooter hit a car this afternoon.
The accident happened at 2.20pm when a black Hyundai car and a red Vespa scooter collided as they were travelling along Woodcote Road, Epsom.
Ambulance crews attended the scene and the rider of the scooter, a man in his 20s, was taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, with leg injuries.
Northey Avenue, in Ewell, is currently closed in both directions, while emergency crews attending the scene.The 470 bus route is on diversion.
