He may have won University Challenge, but how clever is this former Tiffin schoolboy really?
It turns out David Brice, 24, of Knights Park, Kingston, knows all about boy band One Direction and American singer Beyonce, but he might need to scrub up on his Britain’s Got Talent knowledge if he wants to triumph at a pub quiz.
The economics graduate was part of the team from Manchester University who defeated University College London in the final of the BBC competition.
But he was unable to tell us who won the talent show last year and was not so clued up on glamour model Katie Price’s marriages.
He was, however, a whizz at all things academic despite it being nearly a year since his big win with teammates Richard Gilbert, Adam Barr and Debbie Brown was finally shown on television on Monday night.

Mr Brice said: “We filmed the match about a year ago now. We had to keep it quiet for a long time.
"The very first match we did atrociously badly and I was up against my old best mates from Tiffin and St John’s.
"For a long time it looked like we were going to get the lowest score on University Challenge.”
The team ended up winning and retained their title.
Mr Brice said: “We got to know each other really well and found out what each of our strengths were. We are all friends now.”
Despite his success, Mr Brice said he was currently looking for a job.
