Four piece Austrian band Astpai will be performing live in Kingston as part of their 45-day Europe tour this week.
Manfred Herzog, Bernhard Hlavka, Marco Barbarits and Anton Straka will be taking to the stage to blast their version of punk rock.
The band have been together for more than 10 years and played all over the world including in America, Canada and Europe but this will be their first Kingston outing.
Herzog says: "Our first drummer and I started the band in 2001 when we were in school together - the classic way. Since then our line up has changed quite a bit.
"Kingston has always been treating me really well. I have played at the Fighting Cocks a few times with Rentokill and Plague Mass. Good times.
"I've also been attending a bunch of shows over the past few years. I have never performed in Kingston with Astpai."
The group have performed more than 600 shows and are currently on the road touring.
Herzog says, "It's the best way to meet new people and see new places and all that while playing the songs that you love and believe in. It's all incredibly fulfilling and we don't take a second of it for granted.
"It's going great so far. It is both slightly insane and amazing. So far all the shows have been a blast."
Astpai, The Peel, 160 Cambridge Road Kingston, Thursday, May 2.
