Croydon Council is offering advice to residents on ways to manage after the benefit changes.

The council is holding an advice and information day from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Friday, April 19, at Fairfield Halls in Croydon.

It is being organised in partnership with Croydon Voluntary Action, Citizens Advice Bureau, Jobcentre Plus, Mind in Croydon, CAYSH, the Croydon food network, South West London Law centre and Reed in Partnership.

Each organisation will be holding a stall for people to visit and get information and advice.

Cabinet member for corporate and voluntary services, Councillor Sara Bashford, said: “This is the first in a series of events aimed at helping people manage the benefit changes.

“There will be a range of different groups on hand to offer advice and support on all the areas in which households may be affected.

“We are here to help, and urge those affected by the benefit changes to come along and find out about the support available.”
