Richmond police are re-appealing for information on an aggravated burglary in Hampton in which a woman was bound and gagged.

Two men forced their way into a flat in White Hart House in Hampton and bound, gagged and assaulted a 40-year-old woman.

During the incident on January 29, between 7.45pm and 8pm, the pair rifled through the flat and left with jewellery.

A further burglary took place at the same flat on February 3, at about 6.15pm where further items were stolen from the address.

Detective constable Jo Hinchliffe said: “I am appealing to members of the public who may have any information in relation to either offence to come forward and speak with the police. I am particularly interested in speaking with anyone who saw any suspicious persons hanging around White Hart House at the time of either offence. The level of violence used in the first incident was extremely shocking and it is important that the offenders are identified as soon as possible."

The two suspects from the incident in January are described as white males, between 40 and 45 years old. One male is six foot tall, slim, with light coloured hair or wearing a light coloured hat. The other male is five foot seven inches, very heavy set build, with dark hair, or was wearing a dark coloured hat.

Any information should be passed to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or to D Con Hinchliffe at Richmond CID on 020 8247 7247.
