Schoolchildren released tiny brown trout into the River Wandle as part of a restoration project.
The pupils from schools in Wandsworth and Sutton have been rearing the fish since January as part of the Trout from the Classroom project.
On Thursday, March 28, children gathered by the river in Mapleton Road, Wandsworth to release the fish alongside the mayor of Wandsworth.
The project, now in it's 12th year, has successfully restored brown trout to the river after the population was wiped by pollution in the 1930s.
Youngsters have been caring for the young trout in the classrooms, while learning about fish biology to help the trout population flourish.
The programme is ran by The Wandle Trust, who organise regular clean-ups of the river and aim to improve the environment.
