More than four thousand people marched 14 miles to raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospitals.
The Marsden March saw thousands walk from the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea to its counterpart in Sutton last weekend, stopping off at the Windmill on Wimbledon Common en route.
Among those taking part was retired teacher Jane White who taught at two Mitcham schools including Benedict and the Alfred Mizen, now Garden Primary,
Ms White was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and was treated at the hospital where she said the care was "outstanding".
Josephine Liste, a teacher from Raynes Park High, took part alongside a 23-strong team who decided to take part after losing her sister in law to bowel cancer in November 2012 aged 42.
Last year the event raised £1.2m to help treat cancer patients at the hospitals.
