A paedophile who would read one of his victims stories before groping her has been caged for two years.

Married father Kevin Andrews tormented the child from the age of seven, abuse which went on for years and only ended in 2000.

The 52-year-old, from Erskine Road, Sutton, would read the girl a story before turning the bedroom lights off, getting into bed with her and rubbing himself on her.

Andrews groped his other victim so frequently she thought it was normal. This victim told the court Andrews had tried to touch her following a party in 2000 but she realised it was not right and swore at him.

He appeared in court in December to admit seven counts of indecent assault and was sentenced to two years in jail at Croydon Crown Court on Thursday, March 14.

The allegations were first put to Andrews in 2002 but he denied them. He eventually admitted his crimes to his doctor, who went on to tell police, last year.

Judge Nicholas Ainley told Andrews he had already paid a heavy price, as his wife and children have walked out on him. He said he had no option but to send him to prison.

He said: "If full admissions had been made at the start, it could have been different, but you denied it."
