I am writing to the Wandsworth Guardian paper in the hope its readers can assist me. I am currently researching my family history and I have found that my great grandfather was born in Battersea.

So I am searching for any possibly members of either the Eagle or Eagles family, or of the Gillman family, that may still live either in Battersea or the surrounding areas. My great-grandfather was George Eagle or Eagles, who was born in Battersea in 1853. He died in Melbourne, Australia, in 1930. 

His parents were Benjamin Eagle or Eagles, who was born in Sunbury, Middlesex in 1813 and Maria Gillman, who was born in Battersea in 1818.
