Singers from Teddington and Hampton Hill Rock Choir joined Sir Trevor McDonald at the headquarters of Missing People last week.

Sir Trevor, patron of the Mortlake charity, announced Caroline Redman Lusher, who founded Rock Choir, the UK’s most popular contemporary choir, as its newest ambassador, helping to bring missing children and vulnerable adults to safety.

He also accepted a cheque from Redman Lusher for £17,000, which was raised by Rock Choir’s 16,000 members who carried out various fundraising events in their communities.

Jo Youle, chief executive of Missing People, said: “We are very excited about the future. Rock Choir has been an invaluable partnership helping us to provide a lifeline for anyone affected by a disappearance.”

Teddington and Hampton Hill Rock Choir meets on Wednesdays at 10.30am to noon at St James’s Parish Church, St Hames’s Road, Hampton Hill. To book a taster session, visit rockchoir.com.
