A postcard of a beauty spot before housing was built on it has helped raise £100 for a hospice charity.

Art lover Richard Johnson bought a 1920s painting of Worcester Park when it was still a park and had it made into a postcard to be sold to raise money for St Raphael's Hospice last year.

Paul Daws, who runs the kiosk at Worcester Park train station, agreed to sell the postcard and managed to raise £100.

The postcard, which shows Sparrow Road Farm on the border of Worcester Park and Stoneleigh, is still available at the station kiosk or through the friends of Worcester Park Library.
