Weybridge-based Kerri Lister, who set up and runs buystudentart.co.uk and mamatome.co.uk has been training to become a mentor this year.

Mrs Lister has called on other mumpreneurs to take up an offer of fully-funded mentor training through Get Mentoring before the deadline ends on December 31.

Research has shown that businesses with a mentor on board have a greater success rate the non-mentored businesses in the first five years.

Mrs Lister said: “Mentoring requires you to use your own experiences and knowledge to support business start ups and entrepreneurs and gives me the chance to help improve the local businesses in any way I can.

“We have lots of keen and experienced business owners and female mumpreneurs in Surrey who would make excellent mentors. Our region could be a centre for business growth – we just need the volunteers to make it possible.”
