A department store was evacuated after a clothes rail was set alight in a suspected arson attack.
Firecrews were called to Debenhams, in St Johns Hill, Battersea, on Monday just before 4pm.
Four fire engines from Battersea and Clapham attended, with it taking an hour to put out the blaze.
The first floor of the shop was left filled with smoke, while clothes were left damaged.
Police and a fire investigation team are treating it as deliberate.
Yesterday a man ran rampage in Kingston setting clothes alight in The Bentall Centre.
Police are yet to confirm whether the two incidents are linked.
