Sutton among safest for public transport
Sutton is the second safest place in London to travel on public transport.
New figures from Transport for London (TfL) show that only Bexley, in South West London, has had less incidents recorded in the final quarter of the year.
The borough has seen a fall of 22 per cent in crime, with 51 offences committed compared to 66 for the same time last year.
Sergeant Bryan Gibson, of Sutton’s Safer Transport Team said: "Officers from our Safer Transport Team have been pro-actively working with bus passengers and young people to make bus travel in Sutton Borough even safer."
