A £227, 000 pavilion is starting to take shape.
Sports fans will be able to get changed in the warm after work started on rebuilding Sutton Common park pavilion.
The project, due for completion next spring, is funded by insurance money paid after the previous building suffered extensive damage in an arson attack in 2010.
Councillor Jill Whitehead, chair of Sutton’s environment and neighbourhoods committee, said: “We want to encourage as many people as possible to take part in sports and providing comfortable changing rooms helps with that.
“We are very excited by the agreed design which will be a very attractive and robust addition to the park.”
