Georgina Rich is to play Rosalind in Rose Theatre's production of As You Like It, which begins next month.

She has previously had Shakespearean roles as Portia in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Merchant of Venice and Viola in English Touring Theatre’s Twelfth Night.

She had the lead role of Baby in the West End production of Dirty Dancing and also appeared in an episode of Spooks last year.

Orlando will be played by David Sturzaker, who has appeared in four Shakespearean productions at the Globe Theatre, and Adrian Lukis, who played Richard Greatham in the Rose's production of Hay Fever last year, will play Jacques.

Phoebe Fox, who graduated from RADA last year, will play Celia, with Paul Shelley (who has been in Macbeth in the West End) as Duke Senior and Duke Frederick and Michael Feast is Touchstone.

The theatre's artistic director Stephen Unwin, whose recent productions include Hay Fever, Miss Julie, A Christmas Carol and The Winslow Boy, is to direct the production which is being produced in association with Kingston University.
