Draw Jump is one of those blissfully simple titles on the App store that is pretty much ideal for the handheld apple devices.

Much like last year's sleeper hit, Doodle Jump, the aim of Draw Jump is to bounce yourself upwards without missing a platform. However, the mechanics of the game are not driven by tilting the device a certain way, but by drawing platforms for your rocket to bounce on.

As you progress you'll collect the various sunflowers scattered in the cosmos. These eventually reward your rocket with a boost, sending you even higher. Along the way you'll find other mechanics, such as gravitational stars that throw you like you're in a sling shot.

Like most games of this nature, it encourages you to try again by beating your previous score and it also gives you the options to share your efforts on Facebook and Twitter.

Visually charming and blissfully simple, the game is easy to pick up and play. While at the same time, due to it's addictive nature it's just as hard to put back down again.

Priced at 59p, it's definitely worth checking out.
