It’s finally here, everybody! The big day has come and all those weeks of dedicated viewing have paid off.
Nine weeks of political intrigue, knifing and manoeuvring led up to the highly anticipated finale. At the beginning of the episode we had SO many questions and the show had several loose ends to finish tying up.
First of all, let’s all take a moment to appreciate Cersei’s dress.
Finished? Okay, cool. Now let’s all take a moment to appreciate the fact that she just BLEW EVERYONE UP. Before her trial, Cersei used wildfire to destroy the Sept of Baelor, killing the High Sparrow, Margaery, Mace and Loras Tyrell, and Lancel and Kevan Lannister in the process. Her son Tommen was so horrified that he killed himself too. We were NOT expecting that.
The unexpected turn of events made many fans worry that their politicians might be watching.
It’s no surprise that GoT fans were quick to take to Twitter to vent their surprise. Do we really have to wait until next year to find out what happens next?!
