Chris Eubank has become the fourth contestant to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The boxer was calm as he hugged his camp mates goodbye, before joining show hosts Ant and Dec to discuss his time on the show and his friendship with the controversial Lady Colin Campbell.
He explained: “She’s a mother figure, so naturally I gravitated towards her. And she’s wise, and she’s experienced and knowledgeable, and all of that I am attracted to.”
The 49-year-old added: “Her conversation was invigorating and surprising.”
Alongside Kieron Dyer, Chris became Lady C’s main ally in the jungle.
But he admitted he was “between a rock and a hard place” when Lady C clashed with others in the camp, such as Tony Hadley.
Asked whether he thought Lady C was out of order in her fight with Tony, he said: “It’s not for me to criticise it.
“I was hurt when she said what she said to Tony. That was hurtful to Tony, I saw that it actually drew the spirit out of him. But what can you do?”
Chris also looked back on the moment when he persuaded Kieron not to quit.
He explained: “It’s a game. He shouldn’t have come into the game if he was just going to walk out.
“Later on I said to him, your children are watching, they’re not going to appreciate you walking out – so stay in the fight.”
Eight celebrities remain in the competition ahead of Sunday’s final, when the king or queen of the jungle will be crowned.
