She lives for controversy but her latest comments about migrants coming to the UK is a new low, even for her. Unsurprisingly it’s made a lot of people angry, including Piers Morgan, Russell Brand and Matt Lucas who all stepped in to say so on Twitter.
I know we’re supposed to ignore Katie Hopkins …
In her column in The Sun yesterday she called migrants fleeing war zones like Libya “feral humans”, saying: “Some of our towns are festering sores, plagued by swarms of migrants and asylum seekers, shelling out benefits like Monopoly money.”
Adding: “Make no mistake, these migrants are like cockroaches. They might look a bit “Bob Geldof’s Ethiopia circa 1984”, but they are built to survive a nuclear bomb. They are survivors.”
And: “What we need are gunships sending these boats back to their own country.”
This is how it went down on Twitter.
Having read her latest article, it’s hard to think of anything left for Katie Hopkins to do now, other than to just kill some people.

On balance, I'd prefer to turn a gunship on @KTHopkins. http://t.co/P9nuHyYICT

.@KTHopkins to write about immigrants so hatefully you cannot love yourself. Come back to humanity, you must be shattered.

Katie Hopkins is scum. Dehumanisation of migrants like that is so dangerous. Why is this woman still getting a platform to preach hate?

Would rather live in a country with any amount of migrants than one with Katie Hopkins #vile

Katie Hopkins saying that she would use gunships to stop migrants is truly appalling… https://t.co/OIlLwz7oxn

That Katie Hopkins article in The Sun is awful; the neo-nazi semantics are horrendous

@NickyRR In case #KatieHopkins doesn't know difference between #migrants & #cockroaches, here's a handy guide pic.twitter.com/BsUGrvbyNI

You can say "oh just ignore Katie Hopkins" all you want, but her views on immigration and migrants are vulgar, disgusting, and inhumane

How Katie Hopkins can get away with most of the things she says is beyond me, so horrible
— nats (@itsnaataalie_) April 18, 2015
Of course Katie Hopkins likes to remind everyone that she doesn’t care.
New followers, you missed the memo. I cannot be offended. It is what makes me a powerful woman. Try harder.

Thanks for the thousands of messages of support. Opinions are not right or wrong. This is not an exam. You are not the invigilator.
