St Patrick’s Pub in Crystal Palace will host a battle of the bands competition, offering the winner an opportunity to perform in front of hundreds at this year’s Crystal Palace Peace concert.
On Wednesday, July 18, 11 new and upcoming bands, offering a wide range of genres, will compete for the final prize of the chance to perform at the Crystal Palace Peace concert.
The Peace Concert, on September 1, has been organised to celebrate community cohesion following last year’s riots, and will be headlined by rap star Chipmunk.
The line-up includes something for everyone with music from Kelly Louise and the Blue Stars – a band offering music similar to that of Bonnie Raitt or Leanne Rimes – as well as performances from JRZ’s and Roygunter a Reggae pop band and many more.
Battle of the Bands; St Patrick’s Pub, Westow Hill, Crystal Palace; July 18; 8pm, tickets £5.
