Top bands Kitty Hudson, Junk Time Party and Tenyson will all be on stage at The Ship next Wednesday raising money for victim support.

The gig has been organised by Andy Bird and is part of Sainsbury's year-long campaign to raise money for the charity after customers chose it as their charity of choice.

"There will be more to come but at the moment we have got Kitty Hudson doing an acoustic set, Junk Time Party and Tenyson as the main headliners," says Andy.

"I work for Sainsbury's in the Whitgift Centre and we asked our customers to chose a charity for the year and they chose Victim Support.

"We are looking to get quite a few things done throughout the year, including a parachute jump hopefully."

Managed by legendary rock producer Nick Tauber, who worked with Thin Lizzy, Toyah and Marillion in the 1970s and 80s, three-piece rock, metal, grunge outfit Tenyson are tipped for big things.

The band have a new album on the way and have also attracted the interest of three major record labels.

Junk Time Party are a folk rock band while Kitty Hudson are a punk rock band who work at the Time Bomb shop just up the road from The Ship.
