Despite only being active for six years in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Pentangle left a lasting imprint on the British folk / jazz scene.

Now under the name of Jacqui McShee's Pentangle, the group are back touring the country and will be at the Halfmoon in Putney on Sunday.

The group's unique fusion of jazz and folk quickly helped them become both stars of the underground and the mainstream when they launched onto the music scene in 1967, performing their first concert as a band at The Royal Festival Hall.

Despite going their separate ways in 1973, the original members got back together for tour last year having won the BBC Radio Two Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio Two Folk Awards by Sir David Attenborough in 2007.

McShee's Pentangle formed in 1995 without the other original members but with Terry Cox, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Danny Thompson's permission.
