Battersea Arts Centre's N2O Season of Comedy returns next week with a host of comics lined up to make you laugh.

Andy Zaltzman kicks things off on Wednesday but here GRAHAM MOODY talk to musical storytelling duo Ginger (Eri Jackson) and Black (Daniel Taylor) about broken wrists, Edinburgh Festival and supporting Simon Amstell before their show next Friday.

Graham Moody: Have you done the N2O Season of Comedy before?

Eri Jackson: We did a preview of our show there in July before we went up to Edinburgh and it was cool. The show has changed quite a lot since then though the more we have done it.

GM: The show is musical storytelling with you both sat on stools and Erin playing her guitar isn't it?

EJ: Actually this particular show isn't as musical as normal. I managed to break my wrist in a cycling accident right before the Edinburgh Festival. We had to drop quite a lot as I couldn't play guitar so it's more sketch comedy orientated and a bit of a break from normal. We couldn't really cancel going to the festival without gong bankrupt and I think Daniel would probably have killed me for being an irresponsible cyclist.

GM: So what is the show about then?

Daniel Taylor: It's based on a little kid called Howard and set in World War Two, with his friends, relatives and people in the street. There's lots of different characters including a man that comes back from war that has shrapnel stuck in the side of his head. That doesn't sound funny but trust me it is.

GM: So are you leaning more towards sketch comedy rather than musical storytelling now?

DT: We are writing for the new show for this year's Edinburgh now and yes doing more of the sketch comedy. The new style that evolved from the last festival we have decided to keep for now, which means doing more sketches than just stand up.

GM: You supported Simon Amstell last year, what was that like?

EJ: It was cool, we had never played to such a big crowd before, it was a 2,000 seater theatre in Sheffield. He was really nice and it was really good fun and the audience were nice too.
