The N2O season of comedy is back at Battersea Arts Centre this month as stand ups and sketch groups alike prepare their shows for this year's Edinburgh Festival.

Top names such as Bill Bailey, Harry Hill, Lee Evans, The League of Gentlemen and Mitchell & Webb have graced the venue as part of N2O in the past and there a number of high quality acts set to follow in their footsteps throughout this year's 20-day festivities.

The action kicks off on Monday with Perrier Award winner Daniel Kitson's new show, Work in Progress - The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church, which runs for two weeks and looks at a death postponed by life as Gregory attempts to write 57 letters with a noose hanging over his head.

On the same day, Charlie Baker presents The World’s Greatest Show-Off while The Comedy Zone gives four up-and-coming stand-ups short sets in which to showcase their talent.

On Tuesday, Idiots of Ants are back in Wandsworth with their unique blend of fast-paced sketch comedy while next Wednesday Keith Farnan explores racism and religionism in the bad old days.

That same day the New Art Club, known as the Morecambe and Wise of dance, mix comedy with choreography and live art in new show This is Now, based on an old cassette they found of the very first Now That’s What I Call Music LP Unsupervised Detention present a perfectly behaved hour of social satire, surprising songs, scintillating scenes and accordions next Thursday while on Friday week Never Mind The Buzzcocks writer Lloyd Langford will showcase his new show.
