Escape to a world where there are multiple portals, two moons and an ex-mercenary who runs the best brothel in the city.

Fantasy writer Gaie Sebold, 49, from Sutton has published her first book which tells the story of a heroine known as Babylon Steel.

Gaie creates the city of Scalentine which has a wide variety of races, were-creatures and the occasional insane warlock.

Babylon is not having a good week and she does not have enough money to pay the bills.

When the mysterious Darask Fain offers her the job of finding a missing girl; she decides to take it.

However the missing girl is not what she seems and neither is Darask Fain.

The twomoon is approaching and more than just a few nights’ takings are at risk when Babylon’s past reaches out to grab her by the throat.

Author Gaie has been writing short stories and poetry since she was little and has written three stories before this one.

She says: "It has its outrageous moments- it does have its naughty bits but it’s not all naughty.

"It’s more of a murder mystery.

"There are aspects of me in Babylon- or as I would like to be.

"It was just something I always wanted to do – I read fantasy novels and wanted to write one for myself.

"As a reader I can appreciate any book which takes me away- takes me to somewhere else."

She says there are parts of the book which were verging on the X-rated and some moderately graphic violence.

It can be bought on Amazon in either paperback or digital format, or direct from the publisher in digital format on rebellionstore.com/products/babylon_steel.

Gaie will be signing copies of her book of Babylon Steel at Waterstones, Sutton High Street, March 10, 10am-4pm
