Music - Folk & Country
Shackleton Trio at Croydon Folk Club

The Shackleton Trio is a highly original and energetic musical force as likely to move you to tears as to move you onto your feet. It features Georgia Shackleton (fiddle, vocals), Aaren Bennett (guitar) & Nic Zuppardi (mandolin). Their original material blends seamlessly with imaginative re-workings of traditional folk standards, influenced by British, American and Scandinavian traditions, and a twist from their native East Anglia.
Georgia’s distinctive songwriting style, combined with the vibrant instrumental brilliance of Aaren Bennett, Nic Zuppardi and her pure and original voice have developed and matured through critically acclaimed albums: “The Dog Who Would Not Be Washed” and “Fen, Farm and Deadly Water”.
