HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 &WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 FOOTPATH NO. 81 (ESHER) AND FOOTPATH NO. 600 (LEATHERHEAD) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2018
On 24 April 2019, Surrey County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert Public Footpath 81 (Esher) from apoint 103 metres north east of Bookham Road (Grid Ref. 512027 156916) in a north easterly direction for 56m, then Footpath 600 (Leatherhead) in anorth easterly direction for 45 metres, then Footpath 81 Esher in anorth easterly direction for 70m to Grid Ref. 512139 157046 to aline running from the same point in asouth easterly direction for 33 metres then in anorth easterly direction for 43m then Public Footpath 600 (Leatherhead) in anorth easterly direction for 63m then Public Footpath 81 Esher in a north easterly direction for 69m to as shown on the Order map. The footpath to have a width of 6m

under Footpaths, Byways and Bridleways. A copy of the Order may be purchased from the County Council for £4. The Order comes into force on 1May 2019 but if aperson aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of anyprovision contained in it on the ground thatitisnot within the powers of the Highway Act 1980 as amended or on the ground thatany requirement of the Act as amended or of anyregulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by 2 to the paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from 16 May 2019 make an application to the High Court.
