LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AND HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended -



(a) The Sutton (Speed Limit) (20mph) (Warnham Court Road Area) (No.*) Order 201*;



(b) The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*; and



(c) The Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*.



2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-



(a) introduce a 20mph zone in Crichton Road, Sussex Road and Warnham Court Road;



(b) extend/introduce double yellow line 'at any time' waiting restrictions in:-



? Central Road outside Nos. 19 - 21; and



? Warnham Court Road on part of the grass islands opposite Nos. 16 and 18 and Nos. 38 and 40.



3. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes, under section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 to construct the type of 'road humps' known as 'raised tables' in the following locations:-



(a) outside Nos. 6 and 8 and 9 and 11 Beeches Avenue, with an overall length of approximately 5.4 metres long, including the ramps which would each have a gradient of 1:20 to be incorporated at part of the proposed Zebra crossing mentioned in item 6(a) below;



(b) Central Road at its junction with St Phillip's Avenue, with an overall length of 28.2 metres extending 10.4 metres into St Phillip's Avenue including ramps which would each have a gradient of 1:20.



(c) outside Nos. 70, 72 and 75 Stanley Park Road, with an overall length of approximately 9 metres including the ramps which would each have a gradient of 1:20.



(d) outside No. 121 Stanley Park Road and Stanley Park Infant School, with an overall length of approximately 6 metres including the ramps which would each have a gradient of 1:20 to be incorporated as part of existing Pelican crossing; and



(e) outside Nos. 183 and 218 Stanley Park Road, with an overall length of approximately 6.8 metres including the ramps which would each have a gradient of 1:20, to be incorporated as part of existing Zebra Crossing mentioned in item 6(b) below;



Each Speed Table would be an elevated section of carriageway with a flat top, 75 millimetres higher at its highest point than the surrounding carriageway.

4. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders (and of the Orders that would be revoked or amended by the proposed Orders) and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council's

5. 6. FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton has approved under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to:-



(a) establish a "zebra" pedestrian crossing in Beeches Avenue from its junction with Waverley Way to outside Nos. 5 to 11, incorporating the road hump mentioned in item 3(a) above; and



(b) realign a "zebra" pedestrian crossing in Stanley Park Road outside Nos. 216 to 220 to incorporate the road hump mentioned in item 3(e) above.



Associated zig-zag markings, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping and overtaking at all times, would be placed on the carriageway either side of the pedestrian crossing, extending up to a maximum of 21.4 metres either side of the crossings. Dated: 18 April 2019

LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON DISABLED PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTION AMENDMENTS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the following Orders on 15 April 2019 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended -



(a) The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 10) Order 2019; and



(b) The Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 10) Order 2019.



2. The principal objectives of the Orders are; (1) to introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and revoke those parking bays that are no longer required; (2) revoke double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions over parts of Bath House Road due to change of road ownership (3) to ensure that the Orders match conditions



as they exist out on site.

3. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-



(a) provide new disabled person's parking places, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person's badge may park at any time, at the following locations:-



(i) outside Nos. 9 to 10 Alberta Avenue, Cheam;



(ii) outside Nos. 9 to 17, 32 Albion Road, Sutton (in place of part of an existing permit holder parking bay);



(iii) outside Nos. 4 and 6 Godalming Avenue, Wallington;



(iv) outside Nos. 7 to 8 Saltash Close, Cheam; and



(v) outside No. 70 Wigmore Road, Carshalton (in place of an existing footway parking bay);



(b) revoke existing disabled persons parking places at the following locations:-



(i) outside No. 103 Clarence Road, Sutton; (will revert back to a permit holders Parking bay);



(ii) outside No. 105 Love Lane, Morden;



(iii) outside No. 14 Shrubland Grove, Worcester Park; and



(iv) adjacent to No. 49 New Road in Spencer Road, Mitcham Junction;



(c) revoke existing 'at any time waiting restrictions from that part of Bath House Road which is no longer public highway; and



(d) amend the map-based tiles to the schedule attached to the Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) Order 2017 and to the Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 2017 so as to more accurately represent the existing layout to match conditions as they exist on site.



Note: there will be no change to the restrictions as currently marked and signed on-street as a result of this amendment

4. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 29 April 2019 and of the Orders that will be revoked or amended by these Orders, the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the Orders may be inspected at the Council's Environment, Housing and Regeneration Offices at 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday to Friday.



5. If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made,
